Mantra Fit Paddle Core Classes infuse core, strength and cardio fitness into a complete workout for the body and mind. This innovative interval workout integrates Stand Up Paddling with functional strength training, balance and stability work, and a hearty dose of cardio conditioning — all the while surrounded by the serene waterways of the Chesapeake.
Whether your goals are weight loss, improving your overall health and conditioning, pushing your paddling technique to new heights or you just want a refreshing approach to working out that truly works, this program is for you. Our main focus will be to help you achieve your goals and have fun, so the hard work you invest pays off and becomes a part of your healthier and happier lifestyle. You will feel the positive effects long after the class is over.
This is a great class for beginners, as well as the more experienced, including male and female from all fitness levels. Modifications are made for students with injuries or lower fitness levels. More challenging poses are suggested for those who can! This class is designed to be motivational, not intimidating!
Instruction includes paddling basics, stroke technique and water safety with an emphasis on interval cardio, strength and core conditioning on land and water. All students must know how to swim. Students may bring their own board or use equipment provided by Mantra Fit.

Class size is limited to 10 students per session. Seven boards/paddles are available for rent! Pre-registration is required. Click on the photo above to register and purchase your class. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get situated, and help us start the class on time!
If you have signed up for a class and can’t make it, please email or call me 48 hours prior to class to give notice. Some classes have a waiting list.

Private Group Classes Available!
Schedule a Paddle Core with your group of neighbors, friends and family. Minimum size to hold class is four people. Class is full with seven people.
Prices for private groups:
4-5 students, $38 each including board/paddle rental
6-7 students, $32 each including board/paddle rental

Frequently Asked Questions
What Do I Wear?
Board shorts (shorts suitable for the water) with a long or short sleeve lycra shirt or tank top work perfect. You will likely will not end up in the water at all. Once you start paddling around in the sun, you’ll likely get warm.
Footwear: Most people paddle barefoot and are fine. If you have a pair of “booties” they can be used, but are generally not needed.
What Should I Bring?
Just your chosen paddling wear, water, applied sunscreen and excitement! We’ll have the correct size board, paddle and PFD waiting for you.
