Carleen was never a gym rat. However, she would force herself to the local big box gym willing the time to go by quickly as she ran on a “dreadmill” with TV screens blinking at her from every angle. She knew it could be better. So she decided to create a deeper fitness experience by combining the elements of exercise that she loves: sports-driven movement, the outdoors and community. Mantra Fit was born and continues to grow stronger every day thanks to its richly diverse class format that engages body, mind and spirit, cultivating a community who support and push each other to live to their highest potential.
Vinyasa Yoga / Yin Yoga / Sup Yoga
Danielle’s yoga journey began in the early 2000s with a single VHS tape of a hatha practice. Years later between half marathons and cycling she reconnected with her personal practice as a way to heal her body, but discovered it healed her mind. She received her 200 hr RYT certification in Vinyasa and Yin yoga as well as World Paddle Association and FloYo certifications in early 2016. Her goal in her teaching is to connect people with their intrinsic wisdom and lead them back to the undeniable truth that they are enough.

Katie Ficca began her journey on the mat at the age of eighteen. After playing a wide range of sports through high school, she was looking for a deeper sense of team through community. She fell in love with yoga and believes that the practice can be done anywhere, at any age. Katie calls herself a land, air, sea yoga instructor and is certified to teach little and big kids alike.
Barre / TRX / Surfset
Dawn Hudson has alway had a love for fitness and health. She is a registered nurse and a mom of 3 children who discovered her love of Barre 8 years ago. She was certified in Barre in 2013 through Evolve Barre. She loves the low impact but high energy vibe of Barre. She received her TRX and VBarre certifications in 2015. She most recently completed her ETP nutrition certification in 2016 . She loves the sense of community and support that Mantra Fit offers to clients of all fitness levels.
Nicolette is a mom to two young daughters, and her commitment to fitness truly began after the birth of her first child. She stumbled upon a barre class on a whim, and immediately fell in love with everything about it. Her love of barre inspired her to pursue her HonestBarre instructor certification in 2016. She is beyond thrilled to be able to share her passion for barre with others, and to be a part of the community energy and positive vibes at Mantra Fit.
Courtney Clarke, DPT
Bootcamp Surfset / SUP
Courtney has a doctorate in physical therapy and ski raced competitively in high school and college. Exercise and competition has always been an integral part of her life. She believes exercise helps to heal the mind and body. She is certified in Surfset, PaddleFit Core, and an ETP nutrition coach. Her classes are high intensity to prove to yourself how strong you are.
I have had the honor of practicing Yoga all over the world, I have taking training in Rishikesh India, BaltimoreMD, Bend Oregon, and Cincinnati, OH from some of the most amazing teachers. I am a 500 RYT and certified in several styles of Yoga including Rocket, Hatha, Vinyasa and Acro but believe I have just begun my Yoga journey.
FloYo / Yoga
Lori is a certified RYT-200 yoga and FLOYO (sup yoga) instructor. Lori began practicing yoga in 1999 while working in healthcare advertising in New Jersey. Lori immediately discovered the joy of practicing yoga and saw benefits to her health and well being. After leaving the corporate world and deciding to become a full-time mom, Lori turned her enthusiasm to becoming a yoga teacher. Lori takes great pleasure in sharing the bliss of yoga with others. Her favorite moment is looking up at the end of class to see the smiles on her students faces. Lori teaches a highly energetic and creative alignment based vinyasa style class on both land and water.

A natural born charger. KJ grew up spending countless summers along the Delmarva Peninsula paddling in all kinds of water. Her classes challenge you to let go and live in the moment. Whether you are an experienced paddler or have never been on a board before, her classes are designed for all fitness levels and abilities.
Teen Mantra Fit
Susan is a USATF Level 2 Running Coach and ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She has coached ages 4-84 to run distances ranging from 25 yard dash to ultramarathons. She has founded area running programs for kids and has a passion for coaching middle school and high school. Her goal is to help tweens and teens feel comfortable in their own skin through sport. Her ultimate goal for any youth program is to focus on fun.
ACE certified personal trainer / Peak pilates / TRX / PaddleFit / Surfset / BOSU
Originally from New York but considers herself a Marylander. Cyndi has 4 children and has lived in Arnold her entire adult life. She loves living close to the water and being able to raise kids here. After she knew she was done having kids she went back to school to get her Personal training certificate. Her love for teaching group classes kept growing and she keeps accumulating more certifications to keep her own interested peaked and to always keep bringing new aspects to her classes!
Jessica San Fillipo
Bootcamp / NASM Personal Trainer
Jessica started weight training at a young age and fell in love immediately. A series of misfortunate events left her with a frozen shoulder and she had to leave her weights behind as she went through physical therapy. Once healed she felt compelled to become a personal trainer to help those recovering from injuries, starting out, or just working on pain management. She has also heavily relied on yoga throughout her process and has a plan to get certified as a yoga instructor in the near future. As a military spouse a balance of strength and flexibility has been her saving grace in every aspect of her life.
PIYO / Barre
Laura is an avid sports fan and competitive swimmer, who also coached swimming at the collegiate level. After working as a Veterinary Technician for 14 years, she became certified in PiYO and now teaches her soulmate workout. Her mission is to help people discover that fitness can be fun.
Barre / Bootcamp
Amanda was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina School of the Arts for high school and graduated with a concentration in ballet. In 2002, She graduated from East Carolina University where she majored in Athletic Training. From 2003-2011, Amanda worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the United States Naval Academy. Amanda earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy in 2006. Along with being a wife and mother of 4 children, she is a certified Fit Barre Instructor. Her Passion is helping to motivate and coach people through sports performance training, and fitness workouts.

Our Icelandic-American instructor Sigrun encourages all levels of ability to join her classes. She will connect with you, the student, in order to create a safe, fun and unified group class setting. Whether you are practicing on land or on water, she is adamant about teaching mindfulness, proper alignment and breath technique: all are key to an effective practice.
