SUP RACE LEAGUE

Race league is back and better than ever!

Join us Wed evenings this spring and summer on the calm waters of Nabbs Creek to paddle a 1.5 or 3 mile buoy course at race pace. 

You will paddle the same course every week, improving your time and striving for a personal best over the week before.

The focus of our race league is about advancing your paddling skills, technique and efficiency to build your confidence to race locally or simply offer a fun fitness program over the summer. Beginner paddlers are encouraged to join!

After each race night, we'll meet back on land and enjoy a beverage with your paddling family.

SUP NINJA CAMP

Adventure awaits on Nabbs Creek

Land and sea fitness fun All summer long

Calling all SUP Ninjas! Your training starts this summer at Nabbs Creek. Your kiddos will experience an action packed week with our SUP and fitness certified instructors. They'll learn stand up paddle technique, paddling the calm waters of Nabbs Creek, while playing water lacrosse and navigating through our water obstacle course. They'll help clean our river banks with trash bingo and learn about wildlife with scavenger hunt games. They'll master pivot turns in relay races. And that's just the water fun! Back on land, campers will improve strength, balance and flexibility on our monkey bar course, climbing wall, surfset boards and aerial yoga silk hammocks.

Weekly Camp Activities Include: 

  • Stand up paddle technique
  • Water safety and life saving skills
  • SUP obstacle courses and games on the water
  • Climbing course on land in our indoor studio
  • Land and water yoga
  • Surfset training
  • Fresh air, sunshine and FUN

Your child must be a proficient swimmer in order to attend.

Take your fitness to the water. The very act of stand up paddling is a potent combination of strength, core power, balance and endurance. Our classes range from highly instructional beginner paddles to rigorous technique driven advanced SUP training to restorative floating yoga classes. 

Don't have a board. No worries! We can provide all the gear or you can bring your own.

FloYo – Our SUP yoga classes are led by certified FloYo Yoga instructors, who will lead you through a Vinyasa flow, advancing your flexibility, core strength, while restoring your spirit.  Your board acts as a floating yoga mat, giving your core an extra challenge throughout each flow.

SUP for Beginners – We love teaching beginners the fundamentals of stroke technique, turning and safety skills. You will be confidently paddling by the end of your lesson.

 

If your group likes to laugh and play outside, then you’ll love SUP parties. There is a SUP Party for EVERYONE!

Your private party paddle is led by a certified instructor, who will teach the basics of stand up paddle and water safety while leading your group on a tour of our waterways.

Choose from a sunset tour, SUP yoga session or afternoon paddle during the week or weekends.

Paddles are 1.5 hours. All equipment is provided. Cost is $35/person for groups of 4-10 paddlers.

FAQ

1. What should I wear?

Board shorts (shorts suitable for the water) with a long or short sleeve lycra shirt or tank top work perfect. Most people paddle barefoot, or feel free to wear a pair of “booties” if you prefer. Very likely, you will not end up in the water at all, and once you start paddling around in the sun, you’ll feel warm.

 

2. What should I bring?

Just your chosen paddling wear, water, applied sunscreen and excitement!  We’ll have the correct size board, paddle and PFD waiting for you.

 

3. Where do I go?

We have multiple locations in the greater Annapolis area.

4. What’s the minimum age?

Children 12 years or older are welcome to attend. If the child is younger, but an experienced paddler, email carleen@mantrafit.com to discuss. For families with young children (6-10 years old), we recommend a private family paddle.

 

5. What if I have less than 4 people in my group?

Private Lessons ~ 1.5 hours ~ includes equipment

  • 1 paddler $90
  • 2 paddlers $60 each
  • 3 paddlers $40 each

SUP RENTALS

Get on the water with a Stand Up Paddle board rental. SUP rentals are available at Nabbs Creek Marina, or we schedule a private group paddle at your community beach or waterside home. 

ONE HOUR RENTALS INCLUDE:

  • Evolve Board and paddle
  • P.F.D. (personal flotation device)

Cost $25/hour per person at our Nabbs Creek location
