Aerial Yoga KIDS is an exciting new way to move that encompasses strength, stretch, play and mindful breathing to help students connect mind and body. Beginners and first timers welcome. Over the six weeks, students will progress through wraps, inversions and twists to soar to new heights!
What is Aerial Yoga?
Aerial yoga is one of the newest blends of yoga and aerial circus arts, utilizing a silk hammock as a prop to aid the student in surrender during traditional postures that are difficult to achieve due to minimal flexibility or strength, physical injuries and often times, emotional fear. Practicing Yoga in the hammock allows you to discover and unleash your hidden challenges and strengths. It balances and encourages deeper and unique stretching.
Flow to the glow of the full harvest moon on the rooftop of Broken Oar. This all levels heat-building yoga class will harness all the spirits of the season to lift your soul and soothe your energy with a sound bowl bath savasana. The fun continues after you roll up your mat as we head downstairs to the Broken Oar patio to paint pumpkins and enjoy drink specials on fall-inspired cocktails. Each student receives a pumpkin and painting supplies are provided!

This clinic is donation based to support Coaches Nicky & Carleen's charity paddle race around Manhattan on Aug 3, which races money for Austism awareness and therapies. Their goal is to raise $2000!
Join Angelique for a mindful afternoon of Meditation, Yoga, and Reiki to guide us into a vibrant Spring season. This workshop will open with a guided meditation to release those things that no longer serve us, and then move into a gentle yoga flow designed to help us let go. Angelique will be offering hands on assist with Reiki energy healing throughout the practice, as we wring out and create space for new energy. This practice is suitable for those new to yoga, as well as yogis looking to deepen their practice. Let's bring in the Spring with more love and light!
This workshop is designed for the uber beginner/first time yogi and will lay the groundwork for you to feel comfortable moving through foundational yoga poses with thoughtful instruction of form, body position and breath. Druminyasa is a one of a kind experience that digs deep into the heart of the yogic practice - connecting live drumming with yoga - to amplify the energetic experience. At Mantra Fit’s Druminyasa Festival, you can experience three unqiue live drumming classes: paddleboard yoga on the water, on the open air rooftop and inside our studio for a soundbath vibrational tribal flow.
The definition of core: an essential and foundational part; a basic, essential enduring part. That definition is what PaddleFit Core represents: the essential and foundational elements of the PaddleFit coaching system. Our certification model will reflect our commitment to being the best and providing an outstanding educational experience for our incoming coaches. Core is a comprehensive 1 day course pair with an online learning module and is setting the standard for SUP education and creating an atmosphere and educational model to produce the best coaches.
Join Lynayn Mielke of The Well Infused Life in an interactive evening of steeping, sipping and spirit. Students will be immersed in the mindful ritual of brewing tea, while experiencing the powerful energetic vibration of the rose flower during a guided meditation. The class will be centered around the relationship of the rose flower to our mind and body, creating and enhancing a self-loving state. Our Beach to Bay SUP Race Training Program is geared for the ultimate beginner. If you have a desire to bring your fitness outdoors under the sunshine and on the water, then this training program is for you! Our seasoned SUP coaches will be with you every stroke, teaching you how to stand, balance, turn and progress your stroke to paddle 2+ miles with efficiency and confidence.
Join us for a day of self-care. Katie Mazur will lead you through a stretchy flow and restorative poses to lengthen and stretch the connective tissues. While you flow, our licensed massage therapist, Sarah Bara, will perform compressive massage techniques and essential oil to encourage your muscles to relax and release, while stimulating energetic flow through the body.
SUP racers! Your spring training begins April 1 at Mantra Fit. We’ve designed an eight-week comprehensive strength/conditioning/stroke technique program that will advance your endurance, speed and skill so you can hit Bay Bridge Paddle with confidence on Sat, June 1st.
On March 8th, our yoga studio will transform into an an artist studio, where mamas’ bellies become the canvas. Intuitive artist Christalene lovingly applies henna, allowing pregnant mamas space to be still, and connect deeply with yourself and your own exquisiteness. You will receive a 30 min henna or washable paint session with an option to add on a photography session. On the following morning, we invite you back to our yoga studio for a prenatal yoga class with Katie Mazur, which is included in your henna belly package.
Our Teen Yoga class gives teens a sacred space to unwind, breathe, move mindfully and tap into their inner self without the distractions of screens and the outside world.

Team Mantra Fit is taking on Spartan Sprint Race at Nationals Park in Washington DC on May 11th. To help us conquer stadium steps, sand bags, rope climbs, obstacles and anything else Spartan throws our way, we will be leading specialized trainings throughout March - May - led by coaches Carleen Birnes and Casey Tinney.

n Dec 2nd, we’re hosting a special Mantra Give Wellness day, where all classes are donation based to support a charity progran close to our heart, called Healing through Body Art Project, led by Christalene Karaiskakis who adorns the crowns of women and children battle cancer. Her henna artistry and healing touch uplifts the spirits and well being of the people she helps, and empowers them to continue fighting for their lives.
