TEEN STRENGTH TRAINING
Our Teen Strength Training program will teach your teen how to safely lift weights and move functionally to get strong and confident, building health and positive body image.
Each day gives a detailed breakout of exercises that will progressively build your athlete’s muscular strength, explosive power, core stability, agility and conditioning, with an emphasis on injury prevention through mobility warm ups and recovery stretches that keep joints and tissue healthy.
Athletes will train independently and together in our weekly Wed group coaching sessions, 5:30-6:30pm at our Severna Park studio.
Whether your teen is training for spring sports, or simply interested in overall fitness, we’ve designed this program for athletes of all disciplines.
Your coaches will be Mantra Fit’s owner, Carleen Birnes, and Nicky Stimpson, former Naval Academy and Gunston School rowing coach. Both bring seasoned backgrounds in athletics and personal training to develop the bodies, minds and grit of young athletes.
Coach Carleen is also a health coach and will weave in discussions and handouts on sports nutrition eating a real food diet of high quality protein, healthy fats and nutrient dense veggies and fruit.
